Mrs. Werner is originally from Lititz, Pennsylvania. She and her husband are currently empty nesters, but love spending time with their adult children and grandson. In her free time, Mrs. Werner enjoys reading, traveling, and quality time with family.

What brought you to CASA?
I am drawn to the idea of CASA as a place for students to create themselves. I look forward to working with creative students.
Where did you work and what was your role prior to coming to CASA?
I worked for the CAIU at Diakon Center Point. I taught both English and Special Education.
What is your favorite part of working at CASA?
The students!
What is your connection to the arts? How are you an artist?
I search for ways to express my creativity. My recent projects include recycling furniture and rehabbing pieces for my family. I also love landscaping/gardening. I am happiest when I have a project!

What do you feel is your impact on our school community, students, and culture?
My passion for teaching and connecting with students creates a culture of inclusion. As a lifelong learner, I encourage the same in my students.

Enjoy the small moments, relish the big moments and have fun!

I have an adorable rescue dog named Jagr!
