My name is Julie Segarra and I am the Special Educator at CASA Charter School. I work with students to ensure they receive the education they are entitled to through appropriate accommodations and specially designed instruction. I work closely with the teachers so they understand each student's individual needs.I received my Masters Degree in Special Education and Teacher's Certification in 2011 from Temple University. I have 11 years of experience in the special education field. I began teaching special education with high school students at St. Elizabeth School, a private school for children with special needs in Baltimore, MD. Next, I taught young students with moderate to severe autism at the Vista School in Hershey, PA. Then, I taught kindergarten to second grade students with autism at Londonderry Elementary School within the Lower Dauphin School District from 2011 to the fall of 2013. I began my position as a Special Educator at CASA in November 2013. I am thrilled to be part of an amazing and talented staff. I feel very lucky to work with students who are passionate about the arts and life.
